PUMA Online Squad Training – 24 Jan

We are pleased to confirm that the next online PUMA Squad training session will take place online on Sunday 24th from 10:00 – 12:00 although we will open up the meeting at 09:30. Join the Facebook event here: https://fb.me/e/5axNRmTv6

Our plan is once again to use breakout rooms for the technical section so that we can break down into groups and so I would ask that you aim to be logged on by 09:45 at the latest. Taekwon-Do students, could you please edit your screen names when you log on to include your grade (grades for families) as this will make it quicker and easier for us to put you into the correct breakout rooms for the technical section. The session will be hosted on Zoom; log-in details are available through your instructor.

The session is open to all PUMA Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing students with a valid licence and the rough format will be as follows:

  • Warm Up: We would ask that you warm yourself up prior to the session so that you are ready to go when we start. Make sure that you get your pulse rate up a bit and do some dynamic stretching. Kickboxers, please join at the beginning to guarantee your spot but you can then relax or spend your time doing a really good warm up whilst the technical part of the session is underway. If we have lots of kick boxers then we can look at including technical instruction in future sessions.
  • Technical (Taekwon-Do): 40 minutes
  • Sparring (All Disciplines): 40 minutes
  • Physical (All Disciplines): 30 minutes

Dress Code: Dobok bottoms and t-shirt with belt (you can wear a full dobok/training suit if you prefer but it isn’t required).

Payment: We understand that financially these are hard times at the moment and likely to be for sometime to come. If you are able we would be grateful of a voluntary donation (suggested £5) to support the PUMA Squad and its members representing PUMA in competition. All fees paid will go towards funding the squad when things get back to normal. Please do not pay prior to the session but after you have attended (just in case we fill the 100 slots and you are not able to attend etc).

Squad Members: Just a reminder that, as with physical squad training sessions, if you are looking to represent PUMA internationally or at external events then you need to be regularly attending online squad sessions. Attendance of online sessions will be part of the criteria when things return to normal and tournament recommence. As always, we understand that you may have to miss the odd session from time to time but would ask that you email to advise if this will be the case.
