Summer Camp 2020 Announcement

A message from one of the Summer Camp organisers Mr D Lammin

Dear All,

The Bad News…

After careful consideration, we have decided that PUMA Summer Camp will not take place in its usual format this year. Whilst it is possible that campsites will be open by then we feel that it is highly unlikely that we will be allowed to run a training camp with a large number of people. In addition, we also want to do as much as possible to ensure the safety of our members and so sadly feel that this is the right decision.

The Good News…

Summer Camp has been an important event in the PUMA calendar having taken place every year since PUMA was founded, and so we have decided to run a weekend of seminars as well as a social event online this year. This will take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday the 26th of July, so note these dates down in your calendar.

At this point we can make a couple of exciting announcements:

  • Master Gayle and Master Ogborne will be running one of the seminars giving PUMA members a chance to train with them from the comfort of their own homes!
  • If that wasn’t enough, there will be a social event on the Saturday evening which will include tales from the Masters as well as the opportunity for students to post questions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all PUMA Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing students and we hope that you are as excited about this as we are. Our aim is to get full information and an application form out by the end of next week so that students can book their place. There will be a wide range of seminars covering everything from technical work to weapons training and much more. Full details of the seminars and instructors will be publicised over the coming weeks. It has been a tough few weeks for everyone, and we hope that this will give you all something positive to look forward to and hope to see many of you there!
