Movewell Taekwondo Classes

Little PUMAs Taekwondo Classes

We run two Little PUMAs classes each can take 12-14 Little PUMAs aged 4-7. Around the 7th birthday of a Little PUMA we transition them into the junior classes. Little PUMAs only train once per week and the two sessions are:

Day Time Class
Monday 1745 -1840 Little PUMAs #2
Wednesday 1745 -1840 Little PUMAs #1

My younger daughter is now very excited about joining Little Pumas when she turns 4 in a couple of weeks having been coming along to watch each week since my son started nearly a year ago. I would recommend Movewell TKD to anyone considering signing up their children.

Junior Taekwondo Classes

Junior classes are for 7-12 year olds. This class is there to bridge the gap from Little PUMAs to the more senior classes. When a junior is 11 we will begin to discuss when it’s a suitable time to transition into the 12+ class. Some move earlier depending on grade and maturity for their age. The junior Taekwondo classes are:

Day Time Age
Monday 1745 -1840 Juniors 7- 12, Taekwondo
Wednesday 1745 -1840 Juniors 7- 12, Taekwondo

My son really enjoys his Taekwondo lessons and has grown in confidence thanks to the excellent work by Nick and his team of instructors. I appreciate the way Movewell TKD teaches respect and discipline while keeping it fun and enjoyable for the children.

  Ages 12 – 18 Taekwondo Classes

The ages 12 – 18  Taekwondo classes focus more on technical Taekwondo, fitness, confidence, self-defence, developing strength and becoming a better person through the disciplined practice of martial arts. The 12 – 18 group trains in with the adults but we split the classes when we’re focusing on specific age group skills or capabilities. Training with the adults and senior grades gives the 12 -18 group  a grounding in behaviour and respect amongst adults.

The Age 12 – 18 Taekwondo classes are:

Day Time Age
Monday 1845 – 1945 12 – 18, Adults & Seniors
Wednesday 1845 – 1945 12 – 18, Adults & Seniors

My son has been a member of Movewell TKD for 6 years and my daughter for 2 years. Since day 1 they have thoroughly enjoyed the classes and look forward to attending each week. Nick and his very capable coaches are great with all the children and manage to conduct the sessions with the right amount of fun, learning and discipline. I would recommend trying Movewell to any parent wanting their children to experience and try new things.

In the Senior Taekwondo class we focus on using the practice of Taekwondo to enhance, maintain and improve mobility, flexibility and strength. If your looking for a way to transition through your 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80’s and even 90’s to stay fit and healthy we can help do this. Along the Taekwondo journey the senior student will also learn Taekwondo and have the opportunity to grade as they improve and progress rekindling the childhood experience of achievements and rewards for learning new skills. Our classes are full of like-minded and friendly people. If you’re breathing and willing, this class is for you, there are no prerequisite fitness levels.

The Senior Taekwondo classes are:

Day Time Age
Monday 1845 – 1945 12 – 18, Adults & Seniors
Wednesday 1845 – 1945 12 – 18, Adults & Seniors

I have been training with Movewell Taekwondo since Nov 2015 and really enjoy the classes. I am over 50 and was definitely outside my comfort zone when I started but Mr Evans and his team are very welcoming and encouraging. The group is also friendly with a mix of ages. If you are considering martial arts for yourself or your children (or both!), I would definitely recommend Movewell Taekwondo.

If you are interested in possibly starting Taekwondo, the first 2 lessons are free for everyone so they can try taekwondo or Little PUMA’s. Just wear something comfy, such as jogging bottoms and a t-shirt and bring a drink. We train barefoot so no need to worry about footwear in class.

Where do we Train

All classes are held at St Bartholomew’s Primary Academy, The Rosary, Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon SN4 8AZ.
